Grand Park’s First Phase: Council Park

Grand Park is planned as a 90-acre outdoor destination in Grand Park village in Summerlin West. Its first phase, Council Park, opened in December 2025 and covers approximately 21 acres.

This completed section brings together sports courts, baseball fields, play spaces, and places to relax. The remaining two phases are in planning. As the broader park develops, planned trails and shaded rest areas will connect spaces for exercise, recreation, and quieter time outdoors.

Grand Park refers to both the surrounding village and the larger park project. Council Park is the first open phase of that park.

Plan Your Visit: Hours & Park Rules

Park closes at 10:30 p.m. daily.
The basketball court closes at 10:00 p.m.

Use the guidelines below to plan your visit, and follow the latest signs at the park. Facility access, seasonal splash-pad operation, and hours may change.

General park guidelines

Alcohol and glass containers are not permitted.
Keep permitted pets leashed and under control, clean up after them, and keep dogs out of sports and activity areas.
Drive only on designated roadways and park in posted parking areas. Follow traffic signs and keep red zones and curbed entrances clear.
Camping and overnight lodging are not allowed.
Use only the park’s designated barbecues for fires. Fireworks, firearms, and other weapons are prohibited under park rules.
Golfing is not allowed.
Sales require advance approval from The Summerlin Council. Approved special events and reserved areas require the appropriate special-use permit.
Protect park facilities and landscaping. Report vandalism to The Summerlin Council at 702-341-5500.

Pickleball court guidelines

Courts are for pickleball only, with a one-hour playing limit.
Wear tennis shoes or other soft-soled court shoes.
Keep bicycles, skates, and other recreational wheeled equipment off the courts.
No food is allowed. Bring water in a sports bottle or another resealable, non-glass container.
Be courteous to other players and observe proper court etiquette.
Use caution: wet or dirty court surfaces may be slippery.

Basketball court guidelines

Courts are for open play except during Summerlin Council-sponsored events. Do not hold team practices while others are waiting.
Wear shoes with non-marking soles.
Keep bicycles, scooters, skateboards, skates, and gas-powered vehicles off the playing surface.
Alcohol and glass containers are prohibited.
Avoid abusive language, profanity, and loud music.
Finish play before the court closes at 10:00 p.m.
